New Charity Supports Chandler Police And Their Families

Chandler, Arizona – The Chandler Law Enforcement Association (CLEA) is proud to announce the launch of a new non-profit aimed at providing charitable, financial, and educational assistance to law enforcement officers and their families.

Chandler Law Enforcement Charities is an extension of the work that the Chandler Law Enforcement Association has done to support and advocate for Chandler officers since 1999. Chandler Law Enforcement Charities will be partnering with community groups and organizations that support public safety in the community and want to make a difference in the lives of their law enforcement professionals.

“We are thrilled to start this new chapter in support of the members and families of CLEA through Chandler Law Enforcement Charities,” says Sam Wagner, Chandler Law Enforcement Charities President. “By partnering with our community members and businesses, we will directly benefit the lives of our officers, their families, and our community groups who support law enforcement. We provide our officers with the best tools, services, and support systems so they can continue doing great work.”

Specifically, Chandler Law Enforcement Charities funds are directed towards aiding families with immediate financial assistance after the death of an officer and even supporting fallen officers’ children during the holidays. This year, CLEA was able to honor fallen Officer Jeremy Wilkins and support his family at National Police Week in Washington, D.C., by sending two trustees and members of Officer Wilkins’ team. Chandler Law Enforcement Charities will provide financial assistance to families of fallen officers and fund opportunities to attend memorial services at the U.S. Capitol.

The organization also provides educational and travel opportunities for Chandler officers and is currently working to provide scholarship opportunities to youth interested in careers in law enforcement. In addition, Chandler Law Enforcement Charities will provide additional avenues to receive mental health resources for officers and their families. “The opportunities of this new charity have opened up our ability to support our officers and reinforce the positive relationships and values of law enforcement in our community,” says Wagner.

The initiative will host fundraising events and solicit donations from local businesses and individuals to help ensure its success. “We really appreciate the outpouring of support from our community. This is a great way to get involved and know that your donations directly support your community’s officers and our relationships with support groups.”
